Cognizin cdp-choline

Cognizin is a trademarked name for the nutrient cdp-choline, also known as Citicoline. As of June 2008, we are not aware of studies done with Cognizin brand of cdp-choline published on Medline, however there appears to be a Cognizin study by Dr. Perry Renshaw which found Cognizin to benefit and improve cognitive skills in healthy, middle aged adults.

Citicoline has proved to be a valid treatment in patients with a cerebrovascular pathogenesis for memory disorders. A metanalysis performed on the entire database available from the clinical studies performed with this compound confirms the experimental evidence from the animal studies which have repeatedly described the multiple biological actions of citicoline in restoring both the cell lipid structures and some neurotransmitter functions.
